Boyfriend. It slips easily out of her mouth, rolling off of her perfect pink tongue and into the air.
Boyfriend. Toby was her boyfriend again.
Boyfriend. How she had longed to say that word in regard to Toby for months.
Boyfriend. Her insides melt at the very word and it sounds so perfect when he says it.
"So you're my boyfriend, right?" She asks, pulling away from their embrace. Her lips quirk upwards, a smile spreading over her face. They hadn't talked about where they stood.
Toby raises his eyebrows at her, brings his lips down to hers and it's the only answer she needs. He's her boyfriend. And the two of them can finally work through all their drama and what-not, together.
"I'm pretty sure that's what our reunion meant. That we're back together, unless that's not what you want?" Worry crosses through Toby's face for a second. What if she didn't want to get back together, right away?
A small laugh escapes through her mouth as she re-wounds her arms around Toby's neck.
"You're my boyfriend," She teases playfully, her finger tapping the top of his nose. She nuzzles her face into his neck, inhaling his scent. She had lost him once and she had nearly lost him again last night. She had had no idea what had happened to him once she had left the lodge.
"You still need to finish the breakfast that your boyfriend made you," He points out, wrapping his arms around her, tighter than before. The lightest sigh flows out of Spencer's mouth as she pulls away from Toby.
She slides back onto the stool and picks up her fork, stabbing it into her breakfast and proceeding to bring it to her lips. She swallows the food before turning back to face Toby.
"Happy boyfriend?" Toby rolls his eyes as he leans down to peck Spencer's lips. (Forgetting about the text he had just received.)
"Very." He states, stealing her fork and shoveling some of the food into his own mouth. Spencer shot him a disapproving look before taking the fork back into her own hands and finishing off the rest of her food.
"Coffee?" She asks, sweetness laced throughout the one word. A new cup of coffee is placed in front of her, she picks it up and pours it down her throat. Not caring in the slightest about the heat.
"Thank you, boyfriend."
