"Most of us didn't wanna be anything like them"
"They were too different from ourselves"
"Others of us wanted to be that different"
"God, how wrong we were.."
"Thinking that we could become like our Ancestors"
"We failed to fucking see that we ARE them"
Karkat sighed as he got into bed, feeling very tired. He had very big day and another to follow, so he wanted as much rest as he could get. "Damn, I'm sore all over the place." He mumbled to himself as he pulled the covers over himself and rested his head on the soft pillow. His only problem with sleeping was, for the past week he has had strange dreams. He would wake up, screaming and covered in sweat-but he could't remember anything from the dream. All he could remember was blood, his blood. It scared him a little. "Its probably nothing.." He sighed. He closed his eyes, calming his breath as he fell to sleep. His mind started to do its work and he started to dream of something unusual.
"N-No!"
"Don't kill him!"
"Plea2e.."
"Don't hurt him! Please Highblood!"
"NO!"
Karkat awoke, he screamed and fell of his bed. "D-Dammit!" He yelled, sitting up and rubbing his head. "Again..what is with this.." He looked to the floor, trying to recall all that happened in his dream. "Death? H-Highblood.." He thought to himself as he stood up from the floor. He sat onto his bed and looked at the time. "6:24.." He sighed, walking to the bathroom. He turned on the light and looked into the mirror. His eyes widened when he saw a man who looked just like him, covered in blood just like his behind him. He had saddened eyes and covered in wounds. Before Karkat could speak he blinked and the man was gone. Karkat was shaken, he didn't know how to react. He quickly ran out of the bathroom and began to search his house. He found nothing. No trace of the strange man. "W-Wha..W-Who was that?" He yelled to no one. "S-Show yourself!" He yelled once more. Karkat walked back into bathroom, turning on the show. He then undressed and got in, feeling th warm water fall on his skin, then slide off. He felt crazy, should he tell anyone? He didn't know what to think or do. His mind son rolle back to the dream. He still couldn't understand it. "Highblood..what does.." He thought hard. He just stood there, thinking. He soon realized that the water had gone cold, and stepped out to get dry and change. After he was done changing into his normal clothes, went down to the kitchen do grab some food. He got out a small fruit he went to go cut it up into pieces. As he did this, he heard a small, but ruff voice in his ear from behind.
"Help..please!"
Karkat jumped, dropping his knife onto the floor. He quickly twisted around to find no one. His heart was beating out of his chest. He closed his eyes and just walked back to his room, not even trying to pick up the mess he had made. He fell face forward onto his bed, curling himself into a ball. "What..is going on.." He murmered weakly to himself. He closed his eyes once more and drifted into a deep sleep.
"The moment has come..." A dark voice spoke from a thrown. "We must be ready.." The voice spoke once more. He pointed forward. "GO! You know who to kill.." The voice snapped at the low bloods before him.
