-1A Dream Come True
Ever since Louisa was a young kougra, she had always dreamed of being in the neopian times. Since the time she had learned to read, she had collected every single issue of the neopian times and read it cover to cover. Ever since she had learned to write, she had wrote at least one story to submit every week. The times always had some kind of excuse not to accept it though. Not realistic, not long enough, not short enough, too many errors, no, no, no, no, no! Louisa was beginning to be discouraged, she even started to believe the times made up the stories and it wasn't really real neopians who made it in!!
When Louisa had turned 13, she decided that she would never make it into the times, and gave up writing. She started reading books instead of reading the times, and began to write only in her journal and for neoschool assignments. Although, one night Louisa had a dream.
In Louisa's dream, she was reading a letter! It went as follows:
Dear Louisa,
You should be glad to hear that your story, A Mystery Island Adventure, has been accepted in to the 279th issue of the neopian times! You should see your story in the short stories section of the times. For being in the times you will receive a free copy of the times that your story is featured in. Therefore, we will be needing a mailing address and last name.
If you have any questions feel free to stop by any time at the post. Thank you for your time, and story.
Sincerely,
The Neopian Times Crew
After reading the letter, Louisa had wrote her name and address on a slip of paper and brought it to the Neopian Times Post. She was so excited to see her paper in the times when all of the sudden she found it all a dream.
Louisa thought about her achievement in her dream and decided that maybe she should begin writing for the neopian times again! She went downtown and picked up the latest issue of the times to get the submission information then began to write her story title A Mystery Island Adventure.
She wrote it as if she had visited mystery island only to find herself lost in a deep, dark, and eerie forest. She went through a great adventure trying to find her way out of the forest.
Later that week Louisa had finished her story. She got such a flow of it that she was able to write a whole continued story! She had never been able to do that before, only short stories which were usually not up to the potential that the times crew was looking for. Louisa sealed up the story in an envelope and wrote on it:
Louisa Kougra
A Mystery Island Adventure
Note: This is a continued series and each part is on a separate piece of paper.
PS: Thanks for reading and considering my story!
This time, Louisa was SURE she would be getting into the neopian times!! The next morning Louisa woke up and rushed down stairs to get the mail. Jamey, Jamey, Jamey, Mel, Jamey, LOUISA!! She had mail!! She opened it up only to find it was a letter from her old friend. Aw man! She thought. Maybe next timeā¦
Well, sure enough the next morning Louisa got another letter! This time is WAS from the neopian times!! She was so excited! She quickly unfolded the letter. Her story had been accepted! Louisa ran around the house excitedly. It turned out that she just had to keep going for her dream, and one day she had finally accomplished it.
