He hurt all over, both inside and out. With each movement, he could feel his torn clothing irritating the many scrapes, cuts, and even burns that marked his skin. His blood pounded within his ears, even as more of it dribbled down his face, not even barely drowning out the screams and explosions he could hear all around him. All in all, the pain was nigh unbearable to him. Though, if he had to pick, he would say it was the inside that hurt him more than the outside. Gritting his teeth, he wheezed as he pull himself up from the cold, hard dirt beneath, the raging flames behind him lighting up the dark night. All around him, buildings and homes were engulfed in flames as the screams of scared and frantic citizens echoed all around, filling his ears. In the background, the shadow of a large saurian beast was sent reeling back from the sudden attack of a smaller, yet more agile and clearly more powerful creature, black markings adorning the small foe's body, somehow emitting a light that shone brighter than the sun could ever hope to give off. Catching sight of the saurian beast being knocked down and roaring in pain caused him to grind his teeth even more as his fists clenched tighter around the torn bandanna he held. However, he could not focus on the pained cries of the gargantuan beast, or on his own pain, even as blood dribbled down his face from a gash on his forehead, one of many he's recieved. No...all his focus...the source of his internal pain...it was all centered on the figure standing a few ways away from him. His question was only met with slow chuckles, before the figure who's sillohuette was illuminated by the raging flames suddenly threw his head back, letting out psychotic uproarious laughter. "..." Clenching his fist even tighter around the torn up bandanna, he looked to the ground for a moment before his green eyes snapped back up to glare at the psychotically laughing assailant. Then, with a furious yell, he charged for him, fist pulled back, as a bright green light shone from the device attatched at his hip, a similar black glow being emitted by the one he charged towards. Behind them, the saurian beast arose and let out a mighty roar, green markings flashing across its body as it's new green light clashed against the black light of the foe's.
His angry glare was met only by a gleaming toothy grin, manic yellow eyes staring back at his pain filled, heartbroken green ones. He knew he was supposed to feel hatred towards him, especially after what he had done...and yet he still found himself asking the same words he had asked before the flames had started. "WHY?! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!"
