Here's a little one shot I wrote about Natalie Prior's change to Abnegation BEFORE Allegiant came out! I know that this isn't what happened, but it's what I imagined this would be like. So...yeah... I hope you like it! It is from Natalie's POV.
My parents will never talk to me again. I'm a traitor in their eyes. I chose to leave them and my old faction of Dauntless. Dauntless honors bravery and courage and I can't do that. I chose Abnegation, the faction of selflessness. As I watch the rest the rest of initiation I notice only three other people transfer to Abnegation. Five Abnegation borns stay and there are transfers from every faction. Only one sticks out to me. An ex-Erudite named Andrew. I've seen him at school before but we've never talked much or anything.
When the Choosing Ceremony is over we wait for everyone else to leave. Our first task as Abnegation initiates is to clean up after everyone is gone. It's kinda gross because there's blood on the floor, but I must learn to ignore that. When we're done we are lead to the Abnegation part of the city. It is so different from Dauntless, but I like it. All the initiates will be sleeping in an apartment together. Each person gets their own room. My room is between Andrew's and a Candor transfer named Juliette. Before I go to bed I knock on Andrew's door.
He answers. "Hello. Natalie right? The Dauntless transfer?"
"Yes," I reply, "I just came to say goodnight and nice meeting you."
"Nice meeting you too. Goodnight Natalie," he says while closing the door.
I walk back to my room and lay down on my bed. As I lay down I think of how easy this initiation should be. Not many people believe this, but Abnegation and Dauntless are somewhat similar. I think I will pass initiation. I hope I do at least. My last thought before I fall asleep is that I think I'll enjoy it here.
So how did you like it? I know it's WAY different, but oh well. If anyone else wants a one-shot, review and tell me! I write for The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars, Shatter Me, Shadow Falls, and Twilight. Bye! I hope you liked it despite the difference!
