Description: 001: Leo didn't care that his memories of Jason were fake. Hanging out with Jason after their quest gave him the chance to make some real memories with the son of Jupiter. As their friendship got stronger, though, he began to realise that it was more than friendship he wanted.

Leo smiled as Jason handed him a packet of chips. Having anything that wasn't healthy was strictly banned at camp but if you knew the right guy in the Hermes cabin you could get just about anything. Ripping the packet open Leo literally began inhaling the chips.

"Whoa dude, slow down, you're going to choke," Jason said and grabbed the bag of chips out of Leo's hand and popping them into his own mouth.

Leo snickered and leant into Jason.

He could say that he and Jason were just best friends, but he couldn't even convince himself. Before their quest he had the belief that Jason was real, but finding out that he was just the mist and that he had never even met the real Jason was a definite blow. He took it all in his stride though and just retold all of his old jokes.

During the quest Leo actually had real memories of the time he spent with Jason. Afterwards when Hera was freed, he spent the time when he wasn't working on the Argo II to hang out with Jason and Piper. Piper usually had her hands full with making sure that one of Drew's tantrums didn't wind up with anyone in the hospital wing (this had happened before) so there were times when Leo and Jason were alone, this was one of those times. Personally Leo enjoyed spending time with Jason when Piper wasn't there, it made him feel like he was sharing something special and private with Jason.

Today Piper was off making sure that Drew didn't completely destroy the Aphrodite cabin while looking for her 'Berry Bubblelicious Bronzing Blusher' meaning that Leo and Jason were alone. After a few hours of Jason trying to show Leo how to work a sword, they had to stop when Jason took off his shirt and a bunch of giggling Naiads had run up to him and fawning over his body (Leo tried not to turn these girls into a pile of ash after that).

Now they were sitting on the steps just outside Cabin One, Jason had gone inside to put on a shirt (Thank the Gods, Leo was afraid that he would spontaneously combust if Jason sat out there any longer) and now they were just sitting and eating chips.

Jason was smiling and laughing with Leo as they watched the sun begin to set, swapping stories and telling jokes.

Leo tried not to, but he couldn't help himself from watching the way Jason's scar disappear when he smiled or from noticing the way his eyes lit up when he laughed. Even noticing exactly how good he looked in the dying afternoon sun.

Because no matter what Leo told himself or Piper (who had noticed Leo's feeling before he had), he was completely head over heels for Jason Grace.
