"You know, Merlin, all those jokes about you being a coward...I never really meant any of them...I always thought you were the bravest man I ever met. Guess I was wrong."
Merlin kept his mouth shut, but in his head he was telling Arthur off for that statement.
"Would you believe me if I told you, up until last night I had magic and a giant leech sucked all my powers away? Or that I have hidden my magic for longer than I can remember? Oh, what about the all the times I have killed or almost died for you? Don't believe me? I can show you the scares. I have lost my father, my first love, my best friends, as well as a large number of kin in my quest to keep you safe! Don't you dare call me a coward you condescending, self-righteous, prat! I have to leave to try and regain my magic so all my sacrifices over the year won't have been in vain. I refuse to admit defeat yet… Not quite yet..."
