Somewhere dimly lit, two men (yes two men, how scandelous!) cling to one another in a tight embrace, lips locked with a desperation that makes a dehydrated man having found his oasis look pathetic. At the slightest noise the two spring apart, taking argument stances as a lower ranksman shuffles through the door. One of these men has a look of irritated frustration and his mouth his open ready to let fly a sarcastic comment. The other leanrs upon a rickety desk, where the phone is, with a look of scathing apathy. The lower ranksman looks between the two curiously, and afraid to move, knowing the slightest thing will se them off. However, he isn't smart enough to know to duck quickly out the door and down the trench until he can't go any further. He stands, frozen, like a rabbit in the headlights. Scathing apathy opens his mouth.
"So, Darling... did you really havea reaso for coming here? Or is this just a social call?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and smirking. The other man, Darling, glowers.
"That's Captain Darling, to you, and I'll have you know that the General-" He started
"Usually comes here himself when he has another insane plan to force us to go onto. Or phones." Blackadder interrupts.
"He-he... I..." Darling sputters.
"Thought so." Blackadder grumbled. "You might as well sit down." He gestures towards The Chair, he glares and the lower ranksman. "You might as well make yourself useful. Tea?" The lower ranksman looks at him puzzled. "Now!" Blackadder turns to Darling. "If we're going to argue, we might as well do it in an orderly fasion."
"Mmm." Darling said nocommitally. They sat in silence.
The tea (which is just heated water with a bit of dirt) is served and the lower ranksman Runs Like Hell, Blakadder and Darling look at one another and smile.
"Well, this is a social call." Blackadder says, before he is tackled to the ground and his mouth is put to better use.
