If you asked Karai to join you on the rooftop late at night in the pouring rain, she would probably throw you off of the tallest skyscraper New York City has to offer. But there she was, standing in the alley in the pouring rain wanting to badly throw someone off of a building.
The kunoichi hugged herself, not really cold but trying to find something to do with herself as she waited. She had been told to meet a certain someone there, and he was late. And as much as she enjoyed being late herself, she hated to be kept waiting.
Karai could hear a faint noise behind her but felt no threatening presence.
"You have a nack for getting into trouble."
The teenager could only smile and roll her eyes. So THIS was what he had in mind.
"And you have a nack for saving my life," she quoted from a movie she had thought was so stupid. She turned around to find Leonardo hanging upside down, holding onto a bungee chord attached above on the roof of the building behind him. "I think I have a super hero stalker."
Through the darkness and the rain, Karai could see Leo grin, happy she was playing along with his Spiderman moment. She couldn't help but smirk, surprised at herself for being able to remember the lines from the movie.
"I was in the neighborhood." He muttered mysteriously. Karai bit her lip as to not laugh at the cheesy-ness of it all. She combed her sopping wet hair out of her face, knowing her make up was probably washed off but could honestly care less.
"You are amazing."
"Some people don't think so."
"But you are," she cited, stepping closer. She could see the rain land on his skin and rush off in fits of tiny rivers. His blue bandana was an even darker shade thanks to the fabric being soaked for who knows how long.
"Nice to have a fan."
"Do I get to say thank you this time?" She was already reaching her hand up to his face.
Leo gently took one hand and grasped her wrist as her fingers grazed his skin. "Wait..."
But it was too late. Karai leaned in and gently brushed her lips against his. She could feel the shy hesitation in his own, probably had been hoping for the kiss but not fully expecting it.
Karai gently placed both of her hands onto his cheeks and deepened the kiss. Leonardo brought his hand back to the chord and found the nerve to kiss her back. He awkwardly intwined his lips with hers, not used to the curve of the flesh but enjoying the touch and sensation it brought to him.
She broke the kiss with a smirk. Leo did everything he could not to grin like an idiot, tugged on the chord and he went flying up to the rooftops above, the moon glistening on his skin before he disappeared out of site.
Karai watched the rooftop, a smile on her face. The rain beat down on her but honestly, she didn't mind anymore. She could still feel the sensation of his lips against hers and brought her fingertips up to graze the skin.
The want to throw someone off of a building disappeared and she couldn't help but wonder if he had any other plans for them like this in the future. If he did, Karai realized she wouldn't mind.
She turned to leave, excited to get home and put on dry clothes and maybe get a hot bubble bath in. Karai's thoughts continued to drift to Leo's surprise for her and found herself touching her lips with her fingers the whole way back home. She smiled. He is such a dork.
