When I came into the group and saw you, I made sure that he couldn't receive your great power when he got the rest of the Princesses.You were the one who could do almost anything, even though you were young. Even open the door. I don't know why I did that, maybe because if you were lost, more of us would come into our midst. I wasn't fully ready for that, but maybe someone would come along that was like me. So I sent you to him, the one that would have done anything for you, even to the death.
So I pushed you into the darkness as your world disappeared, trying with all my might that you would get there safely. I didn't care if I was killed; this kind of life didn't suit me that well. But you, you had to get away from here as fast as you could without him knowing where you were going.
Then he started attacking other worlds, in his search for you. He didn't know that you had left with my help. He was just too into his search to actually look for how you left. It was good for me, but I didn't really like it. You were in this group for life, ya know? The only way out was death. I don't know why this was a rule. Guess he was too paranoid that once one of us left, whoever left would use it to turn on him.
When Roxas left and joined with Sora, I didn't know what to do. That's why I set out on my own to get you, hoping to get my friend back. I don't know how, but seeing as it was you who brought Sora back from being a Heartless, maybe – just maybe – you could bring Roxas back to me. I would be so grateful if you could have done that for me. For you see, just like Sora is so very important to you, so is Roxas to me. Without him, I would probably be dead way before you were kidnapped. You would probably have stayed on the island, wondering year after year if your unknown friend would come back to you, if he was okay or not, if he was even alive. But I died, you see. I died and I couldn't see Roxas. I died so you could see the one that you had forgotten against your will, and wanted to meat again. I couldn't deny you that one wish, especially after what I had done to you.
There's nothing else for me to say here. I'll let you get on with your special little lives with your special little hearts. Take care of him, Kairi. Don't let him get hurt. Please, that's all I ask. Sora carries what is important to me, and I don't know what I'll do if Roxas disappeared on me yet again.
As I passed, I could see Roxas kneeling there, right next to Sora. I smiled and promised I would wait for him.
