"What the hell was that?!"
Chris Halliwell narrowly dodged an energy ball that seemed to have come out of nowhere. He and his brother, Wyatt, were strolling down an alley between two large buildings when the attack happened.
"We should have known better than to cut through here, little brother. They always attack in these types of places." Wyatt laughed.
"You're hilarious." Chris punched his brother in the arm. "How can you joke at a time like this?"
At that moment, a hooded figure in a dark cloak appeared, and sent an energy ball hurling toward Wyatt. He managed to duck out of the way just in time, and the energy ball hit a dumpster behind them, setting it on fire.
"I've found them! The Charmed sons!" cried the figured in a scratchy voice. Suddenly, dozens of hooded figured, identical to the first, appeared, surrounding the brothers.
"Oh shit..." murmured Chris. "Wyatt, let's orb out of here, now!"
"Not smart, bro. They'll just find us again, anyways. And we can't have them parading around, attacking innocents! You should know better than that. Besides, I'd say there's about, er, 50 of them, and two of us. Sounds like a fair fight to me."
"Alright, let's do this." The brothers bumped fists and ran toward the clump of demons.
"Dumpster!" Chris shouted, sending the flaming dumpsters flying through the air, burning a good many demons in the process.
The boys continued sending objects at the demons until there were only a handful left.
"Chris!" Wyatt called suddenly. "Something's wrong!"
"What's the matter, Wyatt? Can't you see I'm kicking ass over here?"
"Chris! I can't orb!"
"What do you mean?"
"My powers! They're gone!"
Chris stopped. "Do you think one of the demons took your powers? I didn't think they were upper level, since there's so many of them. But maybe it was just the one demon, and he multiplied." He was now next to his brother. "Come on, we should get home and make a vanquishing potion."
Wyatt shook his head. "I don't think it was the demon, Chris. I think it's something bigger than that, something that we can't control. We need a spell that will take us back to the exact moment where my powers were taken."
Chris nodded. "Whatever you say." He grabbed his brother's arm. "I'll orb us back to the house, and we can find that spell."
