Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in! It's another short Shortcut! I promise, the next one will hopefully be longer, but yeah... I just had a bit inspiration and... voilá!

It was weeks ago that he had seen Dean for the last time. Sam had told him not to look for him, but both of them knew that this would not be happening. So they both were looking for Dean for a few days, until they got into a fight with a demon and Cas couldn't heal himself. That's when Sam told hin again to rest while he was going on the search. For his brother and a solution for the angel's problem. Eventhough he knew that Cas wouldn't just rest. But at least he would stay in the bunker until Sam had found something. To his surprise Cas obeyed and stayed.
When Sam had left again, because he had a lead on his brother, Cas was laying in his bed, feverish. His grace was burning out. And he knew that he wouldn't have much more time. Maybe one or two weeks. And it drove him up the walls. Because he wanted to see him again. He wanted to look into those green eyes. Just one more time. He wanted to hold him into his arms. To invade his personal space, as always, knowing that Dean never really bothered.
Suddenly he heard the door of the bunker opening. Sam must've forgotten something.
"Sam?" The angel asked in a quiet voice. When he got no answer, he got suspicious and tried to climb out of his bed.
"Stay there. You're not doing so well I heard," a very familiar voice said. Cas' blue eyes widened. No, that... He must be dreaming. Fever dreaming. And he thought he still would've a few weeks.
"You're not real..." Cas whispered. He couldn't be. Sam told him that he had a lead. A very strong one.
"I am, Cas. I am." He replied softly. He closed the gap between them by crossing the room and sitting on the edge of his angel's bed. A soft smile crossed his lips. Oh, he had missed those bright blue eyes. Gently, he pet Cas' raven hair while placing a small kiss on his forehead.
"I'm gonna find a way to fix you, Cas. I promise." The demon took Cas' hand and squeezed it softly. The angel just answered with a smile. His Dean was here. And that was all he needed right now.
"Dean?" He breathed.
"Yeah?"
"Will you stay?" Cas asked. Dean only nodded and slipped into the bed, pulling Cas close and whispering sweet nothings into his ear. He will find something. He had to. But first, he'll stay with Cas, the one who had grabbed him tight and raised him from perdition. And the one he will save. No matter the cost.
