Author's Note: I own absolutely none of these wonderful characters, nor will I ever do.
"Shit" Emma swore under her breath. Of course it would happen on a day she was running late. Emma had a flat tire and sadly no spare. Even worse she was stranded in the middle of nowhere. Emma got out of her little yellow buggy and kicked the tire in frustration. She really didn't want to pay for a tow truck but she didn't have another option. It wasn't like someone was going to come rescue her on a back road like this.
A red truck whizzed by on the gravel road. Emma was surprised when the vehicle stopped and turned around. The truck pulled up and out stepped the most attractive man Emma had ever seen, and she had seen quite a few.
"Can I be of service lass?" he asked with a slight bow. Emma thought it was a little over the top and chuckled as she explained the situation. Before she could say anything more he was crouched down checking the tire. Standing he grabbed a small black tool box emblazoned with the Jolly Roger. He pumped up the tire in silence and patched it up.
"Thank you so much" Emma said fixing her forest green eyes on his ocean blue ones. Emma could handle herself but she certainly wasn't going to complain about the occasional assistance of a good looking stranger.
"No problem" he replied "it's good form to help people in distress such as yourself." He grinned widely at her causing a smile to cross her face. His grin was more than a little infectious.
An awkward moment of silence passed over the two as they stared at each other. Emma nodded her head in thanks and turned towards her car.
"I didn't get your name" the stranger blurted out. "Well" Emma said "you never gave me yours." "Indeed I didn't" the owner of the truck replied. "The name is Jones. Killian Jones." he said in a vaguely Bond like accent. "And yours is?" he asked curiously. "I guess you'll have to wait and see to find out" Emma said scrawling her number on a paper. "I look forward to learning more about you Ms..." he trailed off. "Nice try" she said turning towards her car.
Emma had completely forgotten about the dentist appointment she had now missed, as she drove off in her yellow beetle. She knew he would call her. He was a gentleman after all.
Sure enough before she had even finished her ride home, she had received a call from Killian.
