Okay, I'll be very honest, this is my first ever attempt at putting my poetry up on the web.
Disclaimer: I only own the paper I wrote this on, my own head, and the idea. The characters involved(Draco and Hermione) are completely J.K. Rowling's, though, I do wish they were mine. :P
A/N: This poem has been written from Hermione's POV, when both of them strangely end up in the grounds of Hogwarts, at the same moment, on the same full-moon night.
The Dance of the Shadows
His eyes glistened in the moonlight,
The spring breeze ruffled his hair.
When you lost yourself in that moment,
There must've been something in the air.
Far in the land of his own thoughts,
He smiled a small, mysterious smile,
Unknown to him, it had caught your attention,
Your heart seemed to stop beating awhile.
Your shadows- they played their own game;
His asked yours to come up and dance,
They swayed together to an unheard tune,
As though, nothing in the world could break their trance.
Suddenly, you broke out of your reverie,
And welcomed the silence of the night.
Did the butterflies fluttering in your stomach
Indicate that something wasn't right?
You dared look in his direction.
Your heart did skip a beat or two,
When you realized, while in your reverie,
His silver eyes had been watching you.
A/N: Like it? Hate it? Review it!XD
