Hey. So, you like Brittana. Me too. Read, review, love. Merci!

It was Santana's seventh birthday, and she was lonely. She had invited the whole class to her party, yet no one had shown up. So she sat in her room, pretending not to cry for the sake of her parents, who had gotten her everything she'd asked for. She didn't know why no one had showed up, she was nice enough to them, if not super honest. But honesty was good, right? Her mommy had told her not to lie, so she was just being good, right? People were just mean. And they wore tacky outfits. And they lied to each other. Lots. But Santana never did that. Not once. So why didn't they show? Santana would even settle for ditzy Brittany, if it meant she wasn't alone on her birthday. She cried herself to sleep that night.

Brittany was sitting in class, thinking about Lord Tubbington, when a sniffling Santana sat next to her. Brittany turned to the Latina girl with a soft smile on her face.

"Hey Brit-Brit," Santana said quietly, with small tears gathering in her eyes. She turned to look the blond in the eye. "Do people like me?" She asked innocently, with small tears gathering on her eyelashes.

"Sure they do, hun! You're a pretty dolphin, why wouldn't they?"

"You would think that, but no one showed up to my party this weekend ... Not even you, Brit-Brit." Santana said sadly.

"Your party was this weekend?" Brittany asked, with a confused look on her face.

"Yeah, Brit, it was on the invite."

"What invite?"

"The one I sent out to everyone?"

Brittany made a face like a squashed fish as she thought, but her looks eventually cleared as she remembered, and fell as she realised she had missed it.

"I'm so sorry, Santana," she said sincerely.

"Don't worry about it, no one showed up." Santana crossed her arms and rested her head on them, letting a tear dribble from her eye. Brittany pulled her into a hug, holding her close as she cried.

A voice rang through the silent classroom. "Hey look, Santana's crying!" This comment was followed by childish laughter, causing Santana to sob and rub from the room, tear tracks staining her face.

Brittany stood up to follow, but before she did she turned to the class, yelling in an uncharacteristically serious voice which got every one's attention. "Why are you all so mean! She is the only person in this room who is completely honest with everyone! You're all a bunch of heartless liars!" She screamed that last part and ran after Santana, crying also. The whole class was stunned into silence, and they all knew they had done wrong. They should have gone to Santana's party. They all knew that the blonds words were completely true. Sometimes, the truth hurts.

Brittany heard sobbing from outside the bathroom door, and she knew it was Santana. She opened the door cautiously, calling Santana's name as she stepped through the threshold. She saw the Latina girl curled up in the corner, seemingly trying to hide underneath the sinks. Brittany sighed and sat next to her, wrapping one arm around her.

"I yelled at them, y'know."

"I know, Brit, I heard. Thank you."

The sniffling slowed and eventually stopped.

"I love you, San."

"I love you too."

After all, she was told not to lie.

What do you think? Feedback would be nice. But you don't have too. My other stories suck, so don't read them if you don't want too. They're also gay porn so...

Thanks for reading!
