I Can Fly Author's notes: Cheezy! Bleh. That's what I get for tryin' to write a poem like this.. *shakes head* I don't know WHAT I was thinking. Oh well... here's Gatomon's poem no da. Only thirteen more to go! ^_^

"I Can Fly"

It has always been my wish
To fly above in the sky,
To reach up and touch the stars
Though I knew they were to high.

I wished I could fly,
Higher than the highest mountain
And it always made me cry
To know that would never happen.

Only angels have wings,
Only angels have wings,
Only angels can fly to the stars
And delight in such things.
I never saw the light within
My own heart,
But you opened my eyes
And helped me through the hardest part.

Me, an angel? Perish the thought!
Yet you saw light in me,
You knew it wasn't right,
You knew just how to set me free.

Now, I know that I can fly
Up like a bird, to touch the stars.
You showed me how to fly so high,
You helped me spread my wings.

Only angels have wings,
Only angels have wings,
Only angels can fly to the stars
And delight in such things.
I never saw the light within

He made me think I would never fly,
Curse him, that cruel bat.
Yet, you gave me the will to try
And I am greatful for that.

Child of light, child of light,
