A/N: Well people, I'm back! I'm back, and with the sequel to my Mighty
Ducks story 'Freedom'. Because some of you were wondering how Adam's team
mates would react to his death, I decided to write up this short sequel,
explaining ach of the characters' reactions. Oh, and Ntgoldfish54 - you're
right! I simply LOVE killing off Ducks. It's just so much FUN!!! ::::: evil

The news of Adam Banks' death shocked the whole world.
Most of the papers said it was suicide. Some papers said he had been pushed. Some papers said that he just wanted attention, and had to leave with a bang.
But everyone was mostly just confused.
Why on earth would Adam Banks, star of the Mighty Ducks, the boy who had everything; money, a good career, even the English Prime Minister's daughter's hand in marriage, decide to kill himself?

When Coach Orion was told, he spent the rest of the day in mourning.
He said that he never thought that Adam would be the one to take the easy way out.

When Bombay was told, he shook his head, eyes downcast.
He'd always thought that Adam was stronger than this.

When Philippe Banks was told, he slammed his fist on his desk and refused to believe it. "No way. He's a Banks. An ex-Hawk. A number ninety-nine. He wouldn't do this. The Banks family is strong, and they //do not kill themselves//."
He chose to believe that his son was pushed.

When Julie was told, she thought that it was all just a big misunderstanding. Adam wouldn't kill himself; he couldn't. He wouldn't just leave all his friends like that.
When she found out that it was true, she locked herself in her room for days, and wouldn't come out and talk to anyone.

When Guy and Connie were told, Guy just stood there, mouth opening and closing like a goldfish, unable to say anything. Connie immediately started crying, and buried her head in Guy's shoulder.
The couple had to comfort each other due to this tragedy.

When the Bash Brothers were told, they wouldn't believe it. They didn't //want// to believe it. They refused to believe it.
Until they saw the body.

When Luis was told, his eyes widened and he said, "No way. Not Banksie. He wouldn't . . .
Would he?"

When Averman, Russ and Ken were told, Averman gasped and his eyes glassed over; Ken shook his head, looking sad, and stared at the ground; Russ said, "You're kidding me. Tell me you're kidding. You're just joking, right?"
The three youths spent the rest of the day in silence, to pay their respects.

When Dwayne was told, he didn't understand.
After a quick phone call to Russ, all he said was, "Why?"

When Goldberg was told, the hamburger he was chewing fell right out of his mouth.
"But he seemed . . . he seemed so cheerful . . ." were the words that came out of his lips.

And when Charlie, the Captain of the Mighty Ducks team, was told, he just sat there. He sat there, the usual sparkle in his eyes gone out.
He stayed sitting there, and didn't say a word, not when Bombay came to see him, when his mum came to see him, when Orion came to see, when his friends came to see him. Not even when Linda, his girlfriend of five months, came to see him.

A few days later, he swallowed too many sleeping pills.
