It was night, as it usually is when these things starts to happen. It was also a fairly normal day for the unsuspecting survivors. EM was working on an upgrade to Cerebro, Wolverine was training Nightcrawler and Shadowcat in the Danger Room. Avalanche was helping Colossus build things for Aquaria's baby. Professor X and Beast were playing chess while Storm talked with Aquaria. Bishop had just taken the rest of the X-men and other mutants to the school in California for a tournament, Everyone was just enjoying the peace when some visitors arrived in a large metal ball. Magneto, Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver and Gambit had decided to grace the Mansion with their presence. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, mostly everyone either played video games or talked. EM, Gambit, Colossus and Avalanche were playing Halo: Reach when the first distress call came to Charles' mind. It was the first bitten, crying out in a desperate plea for help. As Professor X sent out a telepathic command to come to the living room, he picked up more and more being bitten. "Mutants, something horrible is happening. It's like something of a horror movie." Logan spoke up, "Trust me, I've fought worse than whoever this is." Charles stared into the eyes of Wolverine and said, "There are already hundreds, and they're growing in numbers fast." This time EM spoke up, "What are they? Freakin Zombies?" Professor Xavier narrowed his eyes and stared at the mutants in the room with him. Fifteen seconds passed in complete silence before Xavier said, "Yes."
