The wind and leaves slapped against my face, as I tripped over shrubs and logs. "Ugh, why'd I pick today to walk in the woods.." I muttered to myself. Even though I was regretting taking my walk, I knew there was a clearing up ahead, so I kept walking, or should I say, stumbling through the woods. I later squeezed myself through trees to pop into some sort of grotto. I let out a sigh of relief, for the wind was blocked off a bit here, so plants weren't hitting me in the face every time I took a step. I sat down and lay myself in the slightly wet grass, not giving a care if my jacket got wet. I let the sounds of birds and other creatures soak into me. I would've fallen asleep if it weren't for a large crack I heard. I sat up and immediately regretted not bringing some sort of weapon. I normally bring a pocket knife or something when I go out into the wilderness, but today I forgot.
In a desperate attempt I grabbed a broken stick and held it out in front of me. Alas, that only made me feel even more stupid when Techie, a friend of mine, came out soaked and un-amused. He glanced at me, to the stick, and back at me. I was stifling a laugh at the moment. The look on his face was priceless when he noticed my foul attempt and trying not to laugh. I wound up collapsing to the floor, dying of laughter and hardly able to breath.
He cracked that smile of his and sat down next to me."Whats so funny?" He asked. I looked back up at him, and the clueless look he had made me start to laugh again. As I started to bawl, he gave me an odd look and stood up. "W-where are you going..?" I asked while attempting to catch my breath. "I dunno, I was just walking." He said. It was hard to believe him. He was always up to something. I wouldn't say he's mischievous, but he's always doing something. "What's wrong." I didn't say it like a question. "Hmm?" He glanced at me, but then returned his gaze to a tree. After a moment of silence I stood up myself."Well?" He kept his gaze on the tree, and after what seemed to be an eternity, he turned to face had a vacant look in his eyes, like they were glazed over. "Oh, nothing really." He said. He started to walk off but I stood in his way. "I can tell your lying, somethings up." He seemed a bit taken back, but walked around me and disappeared into the shadows, leaving me standing there, dumb-founded.
