The Foolish Him Who Kept on Hurting Her
He couldn't forgive himself for failing to save her mother. And even though he knew he was hurting her by forcing her away, he had to.
He couldn't bear the thought of hurting her again.
No matter what everyone else said to him. No matter they said he was being stupid, that pushing her away now wouldn't change anything, that it wasn't his fault before and that if he didn't shape up he was going to pay for hurting her –
Wasn't he already doing that? Hadn't it made a love he could have been happy in forbidden?
It didn't matter that everyone kept on telling him that pushing her away wouldn't change anything. It didn't matter if they said two wrongs didn't make a right or crap like that.
He knew he had hurt her then, and was hurting her now. But he was hurting her now to protect her from the foolish him who kept on hurting her.
