He knew he had hurt her that he was responsible for her pain
She loves him and he couldn´t let her in, he love her, he was in love with her and now he had to fight for that love, he knew that.

He knew, their love was at stake, he knew he couldn´t keep hurting her, because he loves her, she became since the day he hire her the soul of his life, she became a very important part of his life of his future, because of her he start thinking in to future, she gives him hope and she gives him the strength to face his inner demon.
