Screaming Match
i.
An doesn't like her name.
It's too short for someone like her, too unassuming, and while it's pretty and all she'd prefer something that would make people look twice.
ii.
She considers herself the very best female tennis player around though she's seen the high school girls' team at Hyoutei. The arrogance is bone deep and it's not until a humiliating defeat from a smug boy two years her junior that An throws herself into practicing instead of cheering.
iii.
Her dad is her favorite family member because he is the only one who can sit through her rants. An loves her brother and mother dearly, but she freely admits that it takes a special sort of patience to listen to a teenage girl rage for three straight hours.
iv.
The girls' team at Fudomine isn't terrible, despite what she tells the young girls from Seigaku. It's just a bit plain for her tastes so when high school rolls around she applies for Hyoutei without much thought.
v.
An has a fond spot for Kamio that won't ever amount to anything.
She knows because he, like the rest of his team, is enamored with her brother and An is too proud to wait. She has things to do, important things, and if she squints she can see a beautiful future.
