My Sonic Screwdriver

A poem I wrote for my Creative Writing final. It's always fun to rhyme "plastic", "fantastic", and "bombastic", right?

My Sonic Screwdriver

My sonic screwdriver is fantastic.

It flashes and buzzes and unlocks most any door,

My sonic screwdriver made of plastic.

When a situation gets dire or drastic,

Or The Doctor is losing the Time War,

His sonic screwdriver proves fantastic.

I may be a bit too enthusiastic

Concerning the Doctor I so adore,

Though his is metal, and mine is plastic.

Whovians know I'm not being sarcastic,

When I point at them- scanning galore!

My sonic screwdriver is fantastic.

Perhaps a nerd should be more scholastic,

But I prefer my fandoms, and asked for

My sonic screwdriver made of plastic.

Blue and silver, gold and green, never bombastic,

It goes where the Doctor plans to explore.
