Sesshoumaru spotted a clearing with a well in the center of it.
But what caught his attention was a woman, a woman all but familiar to him.
He ran into the clearing but only found the dry well, a well full of so many memories good and bad.
He sunk to gis kness and mumbled incoherntly to himself but suddenly stopped, he smelled it.
Her scent.
A scent of Sakura blossoms, cherries and innocence.
She always smelled of innocence even when she no longer was.
He tilted his head and shock grew on it.
It was her, his mate, his love and lover.
He reached out to grab her face, his urge to feel her skin once more great as ever before she left him.
" Ka-" he began but was silenced as she began to speak.
" Their lovers fade, and die away
leaving theirs to wither a cry.
Tears fall
mourning
hurt
and sadness
they are not needed so.
I may be dead but I'll always be right here beside you.
Look to the sun and you'll see me smiling
Lok at the sky and there you'll see my watchfull eyes.
Feel for the wind for they are my gentle hands.
Look to the earth for that is my body
strong, beautiful, yet fragile too.
Look inside yourself, for there is my soul
and my body is right here beside you.
My mate
my love
my sesshoumaru."
The woman smiled sadly and startedto disappear and he quickly held onto her begging her not to go.
The woman soothed him and whispered into his ear
" You wil forever be with me as I with you,
but ghosts don't belong in dreams and neither do you."
Sesshouma shot u and looked around the bed only to find it empty like it had for years. He hung his head lowered as tears began to fall,
" Another dream about her, another empty room ithout her. You died, I survived. You sacrificed yourself for my sake." He looked up from the bed to a large painting that hung across his bed. Its canvas held a beautiful woman, her black locks cascaded all around her, her saphire eyes sparkeled as if they were alive. Her smile as beautiful as her eyes. She looked weak thats what he thought hen he first met her but he was wrong, she was strong sturdy and stubborn but most of all loyal.
He smiled a sad smile and looked toward the window, it gave off a warming glow from it, making his smile glow. He whispered silently to himself as he strode towards the bright light,
" Forever you'll be by my side, forever you'll stay with me," he stepped out onto the balcony, " Forever you'll be in my heart Kagome."
The wind blew gently on him caressing his skin as the sun showered him in warmth.
The lover may be dead but the love will never die.
