The Best Day of My Life
"This is the best day of my life!"
Little Elsa used her magic to form a small, fluffy snowball in her hand. She launched it forward without aim. It flew through the air with grace and landed directly on little Anna's face.
Splat!
Anna giggled wiping snow from her face. "I'm going to get you, Elsa!" She picked up some snow and rolled it into a ball in her tiny hands. She ran forward chasing her sister.
"Ahh," Elsa screamed. Anna threw the snowball and it missed her sister by a clean foot. Little Elsa stopped running and she turned around, a devilish grin growing on her lips. "It's my turn," she yelled.
Elsa held her hands high above her head. Snow began to accumulate in a mass sphere above her head and hands. Anna's eyes widened at the massive ball of snow. Her mouth slowly dropped. "Elsa," little Anna said, nervously, "you're making a huge snowball."
Little Elsa's grin never left her lips. "I know," she said, matter-of-factly. Elsa ran forward carrying what looked to be a chandelier-sized snowball above her head.
Anna jumped in surprised and took off in the opposite direction. She hit some ice and slipped, landing on her bottom. Elsa caught up with Anna and tossed the giant snowball above both of them. It came down and snow splattered all around them and all over them.
The ballroom was covered in white snow. It was quiet. A large mound of snow lay in the center of the room.
Anna and Elsa both shot their heads out from the soft powder. Elsa giggled. "That was amazing, Elsa," shouted Anna.
"I'd do anything to see my princess Anna smile." Elsa blushed.
Anna bit her lower lip. "Being with you is what makes me smile."
Anna did her best to move through the light powder. She flailed her arms as if she were trying to swim. Her way of moving closer to Elsa made the future queen giggle. Anna stopped when she was mere inches from her older sister. She brought her head forward. Elsa brought her head forward. They touched foreheads gently and peered into each other's soft eyes. They smiled at each other, lovingly.
Little Anna sat outside Elsa's bedroom door. Her Princess Anna doll and her Princess Elsa doll were sitting on the floor touching foreheads. Little Anna's eyes glistened with tears. She turned her body and put a hand on her sister's door. "And that was the best day of my life," she whispered, a single tear running down her cheek.
