Malik: "It is the miracle of the oil that lasted eight days, once Jewish revolutionaries had retaken the Temple from the Syrians wanted to rededicate it to God and restore its ritual purity. Eight days would take to complete the ritual purification but they had a day of oil left, but that day of oil lasted them eight days!"
