Stories In The Dark
¬Hiccup's Memory¬
"Hush now don't cry my child. What is wrong my dear little Hiccup?"
Hiccup's mother said in her motherly tone as she came into her suns room and cradled the four year old in her arms with a worry expression on her young face.
"Momma!" Hiccup cried as he was placed into his mothers safe embrace.
"What is wrong my child?" His mother said wipeing stray tears from his eyes. So Hiccup replied in a scared tone.
"I had a nightmare, Momma." So his mother pecked him on the forehead and said:
"Oh child is that all?" his mother expression softened as if it wasn't something to worry about.
Hiccup then said in a matter of fact tone, "It was scary momma!" the sentence could have been mistaken as triumph if not for the tears welling in his eyes.
"Well..." His mother was thinking of a way to calm her little Hiccup down before he started to cry once more and said in a more positive tone:
"Let me tell you a story my child. I promise you, you will not be afraid after it." She smiled when her sun nodded eager to hear a story in the darkened room.
So their she sat with her little Hiccup in her lap and began the story that was once told to her at her age in a vary similar if not the same way.
"Once their was a winter spirit who brings the winter and the snow to the lands of Berk and all over the world, His name was Jack Frost..." Hiccup's eyes started to get heavy and soon enough he was fast asleep.
¬End Hiccup's Memory¬
Hiccup at the age of fourteen sat in his room as he thought of the only memory he had of his mother when he realised he never got to hear the end to that story. Hiccup always remembered it around winter time... The winter, Hiccup seemed to love to bring back his painful memories of his childhood. He knew this but why for some reason is this memory popping up more and more often.
That name Jack Frost did he know someone by that name...
"Yeah right, who would ever be named Jack Frost anyway?" Hiccup said out loud with a bitter laugh. Then boom a snowball hit him square in the face.
"What the! Who throne that?" Hiccup said now pissed but then realising he was inside where their was no snow to be found. Then bam another snowball now hit the back of his head
"ok..." Hiccup now said a little bit freaked out but as he started to turn to the door to his room and where the second snowball had flown-in from. It started to snow a light snow. In his room.
"Jack Frost!" Hiccup said as he came face to face to The creator of winter, snow and those two snowballs that had been previously throne at his head.
"The one and only!" Was the cheerful reply from the white haired teenager.
"Did you...?" Hiccup said confused but not needing to finish his sentence because Jack pitched in and finished it for him.
"Make it snow in your room?... Yeah, I just did." Jack said in a matter of fact way.
"So mom's story's where true then..." Hiccup said a little to himself and a little to the spirit sitting nonchalantly on his desk twirling his staff counter-clockwise looking a bit spaced out.
" ugh... What did you just say?" But before Hiccup could answer Jack spoke again this time a bit rushed with his own words.
"You Know what? Lets just be friends. OK?"
"Yeah OK." Hiccup said a little bit confused about the sudden outburst.
"Friends?" Jack said now more of a question then a demand putting out his hand to symbol the offer.
"Friends." Hiccup agreed and took his offering hand and shook it
