AN: This is just a short little story I wrote about one of my fave Hunger Games characters, Foxface. This is what I thought she might be thinking when the games started. Clever and cunning as she is, I always envisioned her to be a lamb at the start before turning into the fox-lioness that she was.

Disclaimer: Hunger Games is not mine, I'm just playing with its characters.

She lay sprawled on the ground shaking, trembling and quivering with fright. Outside her flimsy shelter the lightning flashed and cracked down on the Earth in a relentless rage. The girl screeched like a banshee as she saw a tree fall and catch on fire with a deafening roar. Her pale hands quaked as she wiped away the sweat gathering on her top lip. Shallow breathing increased as rain began to pour like torrents and she began to feel water wash onto her already sweat-soaked flesh. Her name was Joanna Evans, the fox-faced female tribute from District 5. Joanna tried to muffle her next wave of screams when the lightning flashed again, for the Hunger Games had begun, and if she wanted to survive - she had to be a fox. Not a scared rabbit, waiting for its capture. Oh no, a fox she would be.
