This is a re-release of a Christmas story from a few years ago. I hope you enjoy it!
Love Actually Scene (Seblaine/Klaine)
Blaine was relaxing cuddled up to Kurt on Christmas eve. He was blissfully happy after getting married to the love of his life Kurt Hummel. As every couple they had arguments but they never went to sleep on an argument but would fight it out. They had learnt to help each other with their problems. Blaine had helped Kurt deal with his OCD while Kurt had in turn helped Blaine get over his fears of abandonment. Kurt had a successful job and was currently designing for some big celebrities while Blaine was writing music for shows and movies, both doing community theatre when they had the opportunity. Kurt had made some beautiful decorations and the two of them had helped decorate the tree with little memories returning including Kurt's mum's perfume bottle, which had been given pride of place. They were sitting down watching 'It's a wonderful life' when the doorbell rings. Blaine smiles, before kissing Kurt on the cheek and getting up to get it, excited like the puppy he. He runs down the stairs and opens the door to find Sebastian standing on the door step, smiling nervously.
"Hi" He says surprised. His voice hushed. He doesn't want Kurt to know Sebastian is standing on the step. Truth be told, he knew it was slightly selfish but he liked having a friend that was his. Not Kurt and his, but Blaine's alone. Kurt knew Blaine still kept in contact with Sebastian and met him frequently, but he told Kurt every time and would recount details of what had happened, most of which were coffee outings or bouncing ideas off each other. Kurt had learned as he'd got older that Blaine needed Sebastian and his friends around as Blaine didn't like his own company, instead always wanting to be with people. It was a little thing, he continued to be friends with Chandler even though Blaine knew Chandler had feelings for Kurt, but trusted he would never act on them. It was a happy truce. Blaine and Kurt had both grown up since their first years together, which had developed into the healthy relationship that existed now. and found it pointless to get jealous, Blaine knew Kurt was his soul mate and Kurt knew Blaine was his. In return though he had asked Kurt if it was OK to keep in touch with Sebastian and since then Sebastian had been brilliant even arranging Blaine's semi-sensible stag night. After some reluctance and puppy dog eyes, Kurt agreed realising he had no right to dictate who Blaine could be friends with. Blaine no longer dictated to Kurt either.
"Whose there Blaine" Kurt calls down
Sebastian holds up a piece of cards "Say it's 'Carol Singers'
"It's Carol singers" Blaine calls up to Kurt
"Give them a dollar and come back. I need my hot water bottle!" Kurt calls back
Sebastain then pulls out his Ipad and starts playing Silent Night. He holds up a selection of placards:
"With any luck next year..." He says replacing it with the next one "I'll be going out with one of these guys" he does the same and the next placard shows a selection of hunky celebrities like Darren Criss and Chris Colfer "But for now let me say," he changes to the next one "Without hope or agenda" then changes to the next one watching Blaine's eyes widen slightly "Just because it's Christmas" and pulls the next plaque out "and at Christmas you tell the truth" before moving onto the next one "To me you are perfect!" and Blaine's eyes tear up and he smiles "And my wasted heart will love you" Before pulling out the next plaque which had a decaying body on "Until you look like this" making Blaine chuckle quietly before pulling out the last plaque "Merry Christmas Killer Xx"
Blaine still had tears in his eyes before whispering 'Merry Christmas'. Sebastian gave him one last small smile before walking off, his designer scarf flowing over his shoulders and his black coat protecting him from the cold. He'd dine, he had finally told Blaine how he felt. In that moment Blaine makes a snap judgement. He glances up at the window, before running after Sebastian, tapping him on the shoulder. He takes Sebastian's face in his hands, looking deep into his eyes, trying to convey all the love he feels for Sebastian as a friend, promising him everything he can and all the understanding about Sebastian's feelings. He then leans forward and kisses him briefly, but soundly. Sebastian at first is taken by surprise before tentatively returning the kiss. Once finished Blaine lets go slowly, and gazes into his eyes, hands still on his face so the whole of Sebastian's attention is on him
"Thank you Bas, Thank you for everything" He says before turning his back and sprinting quietly back into the house.
Sebastian watches him go, with a look and knows that was his first and only kiss he will get from Blaine and for some strange reason, his happy with that. He is happy knowing that he will always be a part of Blaine's life and if he is only to be a friend, he can live with that. He laughed at the memory of when he was young, and Blaine had proposed to Kurt. He had thought at that point that he would be better out of Blaine's life. It was only at graduation when Blaine showed up to the graduation and begged to still be friends, but understood if he didn't want to. Sebastian had taken one look into those puppy dog eyes and given in. So far Blaine was the only person Sebastian had fallen in love with, and while he knew he'd never have him how he wanted him, he wouldn't do anything to harm him or hurt Kurt. It wouldn't be that bad, being friends with Blaine. Would it?
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
I wanted to emphasise how much they had grown up in this story which is why I used Chandler and Sebastian. I also didn't like how Kurt developed as a character once he was in New York, so have tried to show that I HOPE he would have changed. They helped each other through the insecurities.
