A/N: I had thought about doing an one-shot for Axel day earlier except I had no ideas as to what to do, then when I was watching the Olympics last night it struck me; 'Hey, the Olympics would be perfect for an Axel day fic. They even coincide the beginning with it.' And so, this fic was born. It may be late, but I still count it for Axel day.
Disclaimer: I wish I owned Kingdom Hearts. Then I could give all the Nobodies their hearts back. Unfortunately, Square Enix and Disney own it.

Why Axel likes the Olympics
Roxas was confused. Axel had hardly spent any time at dinner before rushing out in a hurry and then he hadn't seen him since. This confused him because usually Axel would be bugging him until he went to bed which usually wasn't until close to midnight. He swore, sometimes he thought Axel was stalking him or something. But no, it was only 7 o'clock and Axel was no where to be found in his general vicinity.
'I wonder where he went. Is he mad at me or something?' Roxas thought to himself, a little worried, but quickly caught himself. 'Wait a minute, why am I worried about it? I don't care. I haven't even done anything to make him mad in the first place.'
You see, Roxas was still in denial about some things, but we won't dwell on that. That is a story I shall leave for another fic.
So anyway, Roxas decided that he would just forget about Axel and go to the recreation room to read a magazine. What he did not expect was to find before mentioned redhead already in there watching.
"Hey Roxy." Axel greeted him, glancing away from the TV quickly before returning his gaze to what was displayed on the screen.
"Hi, um, what are you watching?" Roxas asked as he looked at the screen himself.
"Olympic opening ceremonies in Beijing." Axel answered, not looking away from the TV this time.
"Oh, I didn't know you liked sports." Roxas returned. He was starting to feel slightly put off that Axel would choose to watch sports instead of follow him although he found himself questioning as to why he felt that way.
"Oh, I don't like sports at all." Axel replied as though it were the most obvious thing in the world.
At this Roxas gave him a quizzical look. "If you don't like sports, then why the heck are you watching the opening ceremonies to the biggest sports event in existence?"
"For the pyrotechnics." Axel answered.
"Huh?" Roxas was still confused, although he had to admit, that sounded like a very Axel like answer.
"They have this great fireworks show going along with it, and also, the whole Olympic torch thing is cool, too." Axel elaborated.
'Oh, that explains it.' Roxas thought to himself. "Well, you have fun with that then."
"Why don't you watch it with me?" Axel invited.
'Why would I want to watch anything with a stalker like you?' Yet despite him thinking this, Roxas still sat down next to Axel on the couch to watch it with him.
By the time it was over, Roxas could quite honestly say that he understood why Axel liked the Olympics; the torch thing was very cool. Of course, he would never tell that to Axel.

A/N: So how was that? Please let me know what you think of it with a review. Flames will be given to Axel to play with and keep the Olympic torch burning.
