"There cannot be peaceful coexistence in the ideological realm. Peaceful coexistence corrupts."
-Jiang Qing, The Last wife of Mao-
"Long live Chairman Mao!" The crowd roared in Tian'an men square.
The great leader stood and waved as the supporters of the Cultural Revolution clapped with vigor in the massive courtyard. The people did not know of what was happening to their personification of their country, Wang Yao aka The People's Republic of China, as he was writhing in pain as the 'counter revolutionaries' were being massacred by the Red Guard.
The announcement of the Cultural Revolution was something that meant for the development of the Republic. Yao found this appealing, as he was the personification of the citizens. There was a catch to it though, because Yao was the personification of the country and the citizens he was obviously brainwashed prior to the Revolution.
Yao was slowly losing his consciousness during the speeches of Mao, his wife, and several other highly revered members of the Communist party. With every word they said a little bit of his history, culture, and people were slowly pried off his grip. What went through his mind was a recollection of the better times... that too was to be erased.
Long live Chairman Mao huh? He thought
The Cultural Revolution was the beginning of one very, very turmoilous decade.
