Superhero
He is my superhero.
He indwells my very soul.
He envelopes my every thought,
How can He not?
He is vaster than the oceans
More powerful than the storms
More beautiful than the sunset.
He makes the old, young
Comforts the broken-hearted
Saves the crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18)
Heals the wounded
Cleans the dirty
Clothes the naked
Feeds the starving
Finds the lost
Loves the hated.
Hears the desires of the afflicted (Psalms10:17)
He is with me and watches over me wherever I go. (Genesis 28:15)
He is patient
He is kind
He does not envy
He does not boast
He is not proud
He is not rude
Or is easily angered.
He always protects and perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4)
He makes all things work together for good for those who love Him. (Romans 8:28)
If you ask, it will be given to you,
Seek and you will find,
Knock and the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7)
He shed blood so that He may be a sacrifice.
Yet He still fills my being
I am His child and
the co-heir to His throne (Romans 8:16)
He is the only One who can save me (Acts 4:12)
Yes, my Superhero will save the day.
My Jesus will one day,
One day soon,
Come riding on the clouds
And I will hear the trumpets sound
And see the Light of the world save the day.
