Drops from the sky softly fell onto the roof. Too much for a drizzle, but too little for a downpour. The constant rhythm of the rain was quite therapeutic. Even for demons.

The horned female woke to the sound of it, then closed her eyes once more. She adjusted her place in the other demon's arms.

Rain continued to fall, carefully, as if carefully waking but not desiring to disturb.

The unmasked demon began to stir, and Sayla felt herself being held tighter and warm lips softly pressing to her forehead. The white covers were their only protection from the cold air.

Droplets trailed down the window, twisting left and right, creating their own paths.

Sayla tilted her head to see Kyouka's golden eyes half-open, now staring into her own.

She could feel her partner smiling into their kiss.

After exchanging morning greetings, the pair fell back to their previous position.

Gray clouds moved past them outside, being showered on by their higher others.

A little of last night still lingered on the sheets, but that wasn't a problem. They loved to wake up in the comfort they had created. Sayla moved closer to snuggle into warm, welcoming arms. "Please don't go."

"Why would I go?"

"I don't know. You might have planned to."

"I wouldn't leave you." And they left it at that.

Precipitation in the morning was always their favorite.

Kyouka planted kisses on the other demon's temple, then trailed down to her neck and collarbone. "You're so beautiful, Sayla." She readjusted their position, laying her down gently on the cotton sheets. Their bodies intertwined and fit perfectly together, hands roaming to caress their delicate parts.

The falling rain was cold, heavy, and long-lasting, making up for the long period of dry temperatures across the land. They were thankful for the rain. It served as a sense of protection, a shroud. Security. All they ever wanted.

So there it is, I'm just alone in the corner with a bunch of younger children around the room. Ha.

But Kyouka and Sayla... Damn.

I really, really like this pairing, and now it's one of my OTPs. I have a bunch of half-finished fics for them, and I'm planning to create a chaptered fanfiction for them (maybe I'll continue off of this... hint, hint...).

As for anyone reading this wondering about my other ongoing fanfiction, Expresso, I am working on the newest chapter. ...I hope you all like Erza, Kagura and Minerva.

I got some things planned, as you can see.

That's it for me now, I'm going to find someone to hug.
