Prologue
The world is covered in darkness. It always have been since the beginning of time. But where there is dark, there's light to fight it back. Even if that light starts out weaker than The shadows.
"Is that the last of them?..." A sincere voice echoed over the field as he spoke to his minions. His minions answered back in animal-like sounds which made the figure grin evilly.
Pitch stepped over the blood stained meadow as he made his way towards the shattered doorway of the once grand castle of light. stepping over more bodies, he entered and settled his eyes on what he was looking for, The mistress of the Guardian society, who was propped up against the far wall breathing heavily from her wounds.
Kneeling down next to the shaken Guardian, he slid his grey skinned hand down the length of her majestic, torn up wings, before slowing bring it up to grab her chin. Causing her to groan in pain.
" You knew that this was going to happen, Angelica. The light will never win against the darkness." Pitch snickers, "We are just too powerful for you."
" Don't get... so cocky, Pitch…" The fallen angel smiled, making Pitch watch as blood rolled down from the side of her lips, "You can…. never…. destroy the… light…. from the wor-" Her voice cut short as Pitch gripped her throat
"Why don't you just give up already!?" pitch snarled as his grip tightened
The dying woman grabbed his arm in an attempt to pry him off of her, but was far too weak, "Because… You'll nev… get your… way, Kozmotis Pitchiner…" she whispered before she fell still. Pitch frowned and dropped his hold, letting the body fall.
"That is no longer my name, you witch."
As pitch disappeared into the shadows, followed by his nightmares. No one heard the heartbreaking scream fade into the night that had turned red…
