A Bec and Edge oneshot, set in the middle of my other story, 'Your Anything', although you don't need to read it for it to make sense. It might help, though, I don't know. Read and review, please!

Dean 'Edge' Edgely punched the all-too familiar number into his mobile phone, and held it to his ear.

"Hello?" a voice said.

"Hey, Emily, it's Edge!" he said cheerfully to his girlfriend's mother.

"Oh, hi, honey, how are you?" Emily asked pleasantly.

"Good thanks- I was wondering could I cut some of the roses from the front garden?"

"Sure, honey, they're overtaking the place. Why?"

"No reason, I just wanted to surprise Bec".

"She'll like that". Emily smiled at the sound of her daughter's name. "What time do you want to come around?"

"Tomorrow morning, probably early".

"I'll be awake then, honey", Emily assured him. "Come on round any time".

"Okay, thank you!"

Edge threw his phone aside and grabbed his wallet, ready to put his plan into action.

"Come on, kids, up to the house!" Garry Miller called. "Get ready for school!"

Bec Sanderson smiled. Her life was as close to perfect, right then, as it had ever been. She had a wonderful job- head of Solar Blue Surfing Academy was not what she saw herself as when she was a kid- and she adored her housemates. Six teenagers and Garry, a few years older than herself. And, to top it all off, she had a wonderful boyfriend, who she loved to pieces. Yep, life didn't get any better.

"Bec, these are for you!" Guy Spender called, presenting Bec with a bunch of roses.

"Aw, Guy, you didn't have to!" she teased.

"Hey, not from me! I found them on the table".

Bec looked around, suspicious, as Guy opened the screen door.

"Ooh!" Garry sang, slipping in the door in front of the girls.

"You got some sort of secret admirer you aren't telling us about?" Cassie Cometti teased. The girls were particularly close with Bec.

"A stalker, perhaps?" Bridget Sanchez suggested.

"Don't be ridiculous", Loren Power, the quietest of all the kids, scoffed. Bec looked at Loren in relief. "They're clearly from Garry".

All six kids burst into laughter. Garry looked bewildered.

"You're funny", Bec said to Loren dryly. She took her place at the table, sliding the card out from the roses. What she noticed, though, about the flowers, that one was quite obviously fake.

Bec,

I've given you twelve roses- eleven real and one fake- and I'll love you til the last one dies.

Edge

Bec smiled, sliding the card back into the envelope. Yep, life didn't get any better than this.
