Author Notes: So this came about after reading/seeing the meme that was going around about how Klaine should "adopt" Rory because of the bullying. Enjoy!
Rory The Cowardly Lion
The slamming of a locker was the first thing Blaine and Kurt heard when they rounded the corner on their way to their next class. They hadn't realized it wasn't a locker being shut but a body being slammed against the lockers, mainly Rory's body.
With a high-five and a chorus of laughter the two teens in leather-men jackets walk past Rory as he slid down onto the floor.
"Rory," Kurt called out, throwing a glare at the retreating backs of the teens while he made his way to the Irish boy. "Are you all right?"
"Ya, just a little banged up."
While Kurt fussed with the younger teen's clothing, putting him back together from his disheveled state, Blaine walked up to Rory, placing one of his hands on the teen's shoulder and holding the other up in a fist in front of his face.
"Rory," Blaine starts, a solemn look on his face. "Have courage."
"What?" Rory remarked while Kurt looked on in disbelief at his boyfriend.
"Courage." Blaine stated again, nodding his head as if he gave the answer to the meaning of life.
"That's nice honey. You better leave if you want to make it to class on time. I'll take Rory to his." Kurt told him before taking Rory by his elbow and turning him away from his boyfriend who waved goodbye.
Once out of sight, Rory, who still has a perplexed expression on his face, turned towards Kurt.
"Kurt, is your lad like Brittany?" He asked.
"Brittany?"
"Well, Brittany thought I was a leprechaun because I was from Ireland. Does your lad, Blaine, think I'm the Lion from the Wizard of Oz because of the bullies?" Another look of disbelief crossed Kurt's face before he rearranged it into a blank look.
"Yes, so please indulge him."
"Huh?"
Rory's phone buzzes and he takes it out to see that there is a message from Blaine.
Courage - Blaine
Kurt sighed in exasperation at the message before looking back at the younger teen.
"Just go with it." Kurt says before placing his arm around Rory's shoulder.
"But this is what you should really do to deal with those Neanderthals who were raised in some parasitic infested swamp." Kurt started, his head bitch in charge persona coming through.
As a result Kurt tells him some very witty cutting remarks to throw at the jocks for next time (even though Rory doesn't know how to pronounce half of what Kurt told him bit it allowed Rory to get away while the jocks rubbed their heads trying to make what Rory had said to them.)
