A Day in the Life of a Card in Duel Academy
(A/D: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh GX even though I would!)
(Author's Note: This story begins after the duel between Jaden and Blair (Episode titled: A Maiden In Love))
As the duel ended, the monsters went back to their decks, all out of breath. Elemental Hero Burstinatrix went into the Deck Lounge to rest. There, she met her best friend and room mate, Elemental Hero Avian. "Hey Avian," Burstinatrix said with a smile, "That was some duel, wasn't it?" "It was" Avian replied. "I can't believe you fell for that user Maiden," Burstinatrix said with a smile, "Did you like being married for five minutes?" "No, but by the way your face looked, I don't think that you liked me getting married either" Avian said as he looked into his friend's eyes. "I was, I mean, I uh…" Burstinatrix stuttered as she started to blush redder than her red suit. "Well?" said Avian with a smile. "Oh, just shut up!" Burstinatrix yelled at the hero and she left the Lounge.
"What's her problem?" Avian thought aloud. "The problem is you," said a voice from behind. Avian turned around and saw his friends, Elemental Hero Clayman and Elemental Hero Bubbleman. "Hi guys" said Avian. " Did you know that she's crying right now?" asked Clayman. "No, I didn't," said Avian, "I guess I hurt her feelings." "You sure did 'Mr. Maiden'," said Bubbleman, "Thanks to that fight, everyone in the deck knows about it. You guys sure are loud." "She's in her room. Winged Kouribo is trying to calm her down. You should probably help," said Clayman. "I will, thanks. I will get you back for that 'Mr. Maiden' remark, Bubbleman." Avian said gratefully.
Later at the door to the dorm, Avian turned the key and unlocked the door. Kuu, said a voice that belonged to a furry brown ball with big yellow eyes and white wings. "Hello Winged Kouribo," said Avian, "Where's Bustinatrix?" Kuu, Winged Kouribo said as he pointed to Burstinatrix's room. "Thanks," replied Avian, "Burstinatrix, you in there?" "Leave me alone, Avian!" yelled Burstinatrix. "Come on out. Everyone is worried sick about you. So I got married. It was only for five minutes and it was part of a spell. It was nothing serious." Avian assured her. "But still…" cried Burstinatrix. "Can you at least come out?" asked Avian. "Fine" replied Burstinatrix. She opened the door and looked up at Avian. Her face was streaked with tears and her make-up was smeared. "There, happy now?" Burstinatrix asked with a look. "Yes," Avian sweetly replied as he wiped her tears and then embraced her in a kiss. Kuu said Winged Kouribo sweetly as he watched them. Tears began forming in Burstinatrix's face once more. Her tears broke up the kiss and they went back to the others.
