"Here you go guys. Good as new."
Well here we were again. Bruised, hurt pride, and abused, but relieved. We were alive! I couldn't believe it! Oh my God! Words can't express what we all went through to get that stupid stick hockey game. A freaking stick hockey match to the death? Ridiculous. Unfortunately, I suck at that game. I was a joke to that "Chong" dude or whatever his name was. In short, we lost; brutally. It was a massacre. There's no way to sugar coat that. As we thought we were gonna die, Benson came to our rescue. I was surprised, to say the least. Then Chong mentioned, in his stereotypical Asian-on-Steroids voice, the name "Death Dragon", upon seeing him. At that, Benson shed a tear. I couldn't believe it. I didn't know he had it in him. Well, long story short, Benson has skills. He kicked some ass and saved us all. Now, we had that old stick hockey table back in the garage.
"Now, I just want to say I'm sorry," Benson continued. "I should have gone back on my word."
"It's cool," Mordecai replied.
"Just fine," I reassured. Benson's face became grave as he continued.
"I guess I just didn't want you guys to end up like me; some dried out loser stuck working at a park because he wasted his life playing stick hockey." He had a lost look in his eyes. I felt bad for him, despite everything.
"Yeah, totally," Rigby replied.
"Well," Benson said, trying to brighten the mood. "You wanna play a round?"
Instead of jumping on the opportunity, Mordecai politely refused, saying, "We're good. We should have trusted you Benson. We're just gonna go back to playing video games. See ya." And so we ran off. I heard Benson mutter, "Why do I even bother?" I turned back, suddenly thinking of something I wanted to say. I thought I'd offer him a bit of comfort; he looked like he needed it. Rigby turned back to me.
"Ya coming?" he inquired.
"Go ahead; I'll catch up with you." I walked back to the garage, where Benson stood, alone with his thoughts. He turned towards me when he heard me coming.
"Kaira? I thought you were going to go play video games."
"Well, I was, but I thought you could use some advice." He looked up (Er, down. I'm short) expectantly.
"You know, it's never too late to change things. And you've still got plenty of time left to do it. It's never too late, you know." He smiled. "Thanks."
"But if you could, could you stick around a bit longer? We like having you here."
"Sure." He motioned towards the stick hockey table. "Wanna play?"
"Eh, why not." I took my position on the other end of the table.
"And another thing, could you go easy on me? I suck badly at this," I laughed. He chuckled a bit.
"No problem."
So it's about damn time I uploaded something! This is something I wanted to do after the episode "stick hockey." Benson went from being my second least favorite character (Hate away ^^) to my second favorite. That flashback was one of the saddest things I've seen on the show. So, here it is! R&R por favor. :)
Edit: So I just discovered that "The crazy girl" has a chapter in it with the same name as this. Hm. Well I hope that's alright. *Bad poker face*
