I'm laying on a large grassy plain, trapped under the shade of a large tree.
"How did I get here?" I asked myself.
I looked to the side, the sleeping bodies of Jeremy, Elisha, and Josiah were next to me. Waking them should be a priority, so I walk up to Jeremy and poke him until his eyes open.
"Man, what happened last night?" He asked groggily.
I said nothing, just waved my hand to indicate where we are, only to quickly catch on to something. His voice had changed, and not just his, mine too!
"Dude, your voice changed!" I listened close to my own, I sounded just like Ben Diskin!
"Wha-? You weren't kidding!" And he sounds like Kaiji Tang, great.
"Would you keep it down? I'm not completely up yet..." I heard Johnny Yong Bosch behind me.
I turned and saw that we had woken up Elisha. He wiped his eyes before noticing where we are. This place looks like the New Zealand countryside, it has that breathtaking quality to it that the great outdoors has, like staring down a valley from a mountain.
"Mm, the air smells wonderful." I jumped at hearing Liam O'Brian's voice.
Josiah stood up and looked around, then turning to the rest of us and smiling a bit.
"Anyone have an idea as to where the hell we are?" He asked.
I shook my head, followed by Jeremy and Elisha. A couple ideas floated in my head. We could be having a group dream, and we're dreaming about rural New Zealand, or we were summoned to a fantasy world ala Return to Zero. I'm hoping it's the former.
"Whatever case it might be, a change of scenery is nice." I said, staring at the fields of green before me.
"Wait, is that a town, over there?" Elisha pointed to a small village off in the distance.
Nice going, Elisha. We briefly glance at each other before bolting for the town. It's then that I noticed, we look a little... animated. Scratch that, we flat out look like we crawled out of Yuri on Ice without catching the gay. Not just our appearance changed, but our stamina, I felt like I could run for hours! I bet Josiah could run for a long time if he wanted, maybe Elisha could too, but Jeremy and I were what you'd call 'out of shape'. I'd be lucky if I could run for longer than thirty seconds, but I made up for it with the distance I was able to cover. Eventually, we made it, and were sweating uncontrollably. I love this leather jacket, but it overheats me sometimes.
"Welcome, travelers, to Domhan, what can we do for you?" A man with short grey hair, beard, and purple robes walked up to us and introduced the town.
I looked around before speaking up, "Yes, well... Where are we exactly?" I'm trying not to sound like I want him to repeat what he said.
"Where are we? Why, you are in the wonderful world of Craftia, are you not from here?"
Craftia, that name sounds familiar, like I've used it to describe something before. After a bit of debate...
"Wait, isn't that what you kept calling the Minecraft overworld?" Jeremy piped up.
It is! How did I forget? But does that mean we are really in Minecraft? No, we aren't, if we were, this place would look like it was drawn with an etch-a-sketch. For some reason, I couldn't help but laugh. Everyone looked at me like I was insane.
"Sorry, sorry. Just remembered something from ZP." I brushed it off, with these guys, laughing at random isn't a strange occurrence, especially with the things I watch.
I doubt that we could just find Marvo the Master Wizard and just will ourselves back home. It's never that simple, if it was, every cartoon or fanfiction that has this exact same plot would end in the first six chapters. Why six? Because we still need to establish characters and relationships, otherwise the story just isn't going to work.
"Is there anything that we can do for you? If it's weapons you need, the blacksmith gives free blades to first time customers."
Swords? Yeah, we'll need those. We go to where the old man directed and spotted four weapons, a cutlass, zweihander, small sword, and a katana. We went for the weapons that suited us. I went for the cutlass, not just for my love of pirates, but because of its shortness that guarantees mobility, that and hand guards make for good offense as well as defense. Jeremy grabbed the two handed sword, he's the tallest, so he'd get the most reach out of the weapon, as well as being able to swing it with relative ease, he is probably the most physically strong out of us. Elisha picked up the small sword, for the uninformed, a small sword is what happens when a rapier and a saber share a little too much wine together, it is meant as a stabbing weapon, but the blade is thick enough to allow some swings at bigger weapons, so it doesn't snap in half when facing against a woodcutter axe. Lastly, Josiah got the katana, I'm not sure why, but after looking at the way he was holding it, I soon got his reason, he held it by the sheath, Iaijutsu, QuickDraw style, favoring speed and power over defense.
"You guys new? Take care of the weapons." The woman behind the counter barely registered our presence before telling us to leave.
I'm guessing these people don't follow business etiquette, just buy your shit and go. At least these are free, unlike chips. Yeah, put that on the sign for this town, 'Welcome to Domhan! Getcha free swords!' Ah, I'll keep that in mind.
"Uh, guys?" Elisha said, pointing at the sky.
A purple line between blue and black was being drawn in the atmosphere. This could only mean one thing, YouTube commenters. Wait, no, I mean zombies! Which is basically the same thing anyway so...
"Time to put these to good use!" Josiah said, raising the hilt of his sword to the sky.
We joined the sword raising, looking like the Power Rangers in slightly less stupid outfits. There were four corners of the town, so we camped there. I took the east side, Jeremy at the west, Elisha stationed the north, and Josiah on the south.
"C'mon, c'mon c'mon..." I kept tapping my foot against the ground, waiting for the walking dead minus Norman Reedus to show up.
God, normally I can stay awake from nine till eight in the morning, but this is so boring, and I now have something to actually look forward to! Then, I heard it. A low growling noise in the distance.
"Guys? You aren't just hiding in the bushes to freak me out, right?" I call out, a little scared.
The growling grew louder, and louder, until the source of the noise was finally visible. At least forty walking corpses, all green skinned, missing patches of flesh, and wearing peasant clothes.
"All I need to do is swing hard, right? Retard strength, don't fail me now!" I shouted before holding my sword behind me, running at the zombies.
The three zombo's that were closer to me reached out, trying to grab and hold me down for their decomposing brothers and sisters. With three swings I took them down, like a redneck in a forest of fleshy trees. While drunk. In Oz.
I'm running out of ideas. So, after cutting down a few more, I realized that I wouldn't get anywhere but dead if I tried to fend them off by myself. I needed to rethink the plan, and by rethink, I mean CUE THE SOUNDTRACK!

Thomas darted towards his friends, all of which were glad to see each other alright.
"Alright, anyone up for a plan b?" Thomas asked.
"Yeah, none of them have any way to hurt us from afar. We should stand back to back." Elisha said.
"Sounds good, there's something exciting about it." Josiah exclaimed.
"Works for me, let's fuck these bitches up!" Jeremy shouted.
The four stood with a box space in between them, cutting down any zombie that dared to get close. Thomas swung his blade in a janky manner, as if he was trying his hardest to swing a two handed broad sword with one hand. Jeremy swung with relative ease, use one hand as an opening attack and for stabs, and using both hands for attacks to cleave through multiple enemies grouped together. Elisha rarely stepped outside the idea of stabbing with his sword, though he did swing on occasion. Josiah struck with precision and tact, cleanly slicing through many zombies at once. After a battle that seemed like hours, the four still stood firm, even as the fatigue of combat wore on them, they wouldn't stop until the sun rose to burn away the adversary in their path.
The people slowly began to emerge from their homes, surprised to see our heroes still standing. As the morning light cracked through the clouds, our heroes looked upon the destruction they had left, the dead were now able to truly rest.
"We're saved! We don't have to wait through the night in fear! Three cheers for our heroes, our crusaders!" The village elder chanted along with the other villagers.
Thomas looked away bashfully, Jeremy smiled wide for the praise they have received, Elisha breathed a sigh of relief, and Josiah stayed silently content with the attention.
"We must reward our heroes accordingly, a feast is in order!" The elder shouted as he ran towards the town hall.
Jeremy's POV
The party quickly grew to be outrageous! So much food, it's hard to believe that a small town could produce this much.
"Dude! I've never had a turkey this juicy before!" Elisha shouted.
"I'm gonna be in a food coma for days!" Thomas shouted back.
Josiah was already passed out over the table, I smiled as I looked over everyone. As stupid as it sounds, it felt really nice to help these people. Thomas seemed to like the idea, though I doubt he'd admit to helping for a selfless reason.
Whatever, let's just enjoy ourselves. After all, I'm betting that we have a long way to go before we get out of here.
