Hi guys! My sister wrote this story, so it may have a few plot holes.
NOW:
Ahsoka pulled the cloak so it covered even more of her face. Her hand itched to touch where her light sabers used to be. She saw many other Togruta around her, though they looked much more comfortable. She had no idea what was in store for her. Her life had always been Jedi-oriented.
THEN:
"Remember, Ahsoka," Ahsoka's mother whispered. "if you don't try, you'll never succeed. Shili doesn't have what you need. Take a chance." Ahsoka had nodded. Her mother was right. She wanted to fight, and she couldn't do that at level she wanted to there. So Ahsoka had followed Plo Koon and had walked on that ship and hadn't looked back. Until now.
NOW:
Ahsoka stepped onto Shili for the first time in what seemed like forever. She was on her own, and it hit her for the first time.
She was on her own.
She wasn't able to return home- her mother would be disgraced if she new Ahsoka had quit the Jedi Order. If her mom was still alive. She hadn't seen her family in a while- she had been raised in the Temple. She wondered if they'd recognize her now.
THEN:
"I believe you, Ahsoka!"
"But no one else will!"
Ahsoka had turned from her master, keeping the tears at bay. Only a while later would she discover that Obi-Wan had been on her side the entire time. Ahsoka had begun to run again, her feet hitting the water in great slaps. She was terrified, so terrified that she didn't feel scared. She just knew that she was.
NOW:
Ahsoka felt a tear slide down her cheek, but she shook it away. Memories only relive the past.
If you get too focused on the past, you lose sight of the future. That had been drummed into Ahsoka's head many times. What's done is done.
THEN:
"But I lost so many pilots!" Ahsoka cried, feeling the weight of the galaxy on her shoulders. She had lost so many lives. She replayed the scene over and over in her head- so many ways she could have prevented it. She barely listened to Anakin anymore. She knew what he was saying all too well. "Don't live in the past, Ahsoka." Sorry, master. She thought. I just can't help it this time.
NOW:
Ahsoka set out, looking for work. She asked around. She had fairly good credentials- she had been a Jedi, after all. But a teenage Jedi looking for work attracted suspicion- too much for her liking.
So Ahsoka had to rely on her charm and fast wit. She went into a saloon-like joint and sat down. A human came into the joint. He looked tough. Her hands automatically went to her hips, but found nothing. It would obviously take longer to get out of her Jedi habits.
I hope you enjoyed it! I know it wasn't very long, but my sister is still trying to get a feel for Ahsoka as a character. Chapter 2 should be coming soon!
