'Do opposites attract?' I thought as I was getting ready for a daily spar with Tenten.
I don't really know why I'm asking this to myself. I never actually cared. And yet why? Why do I keep on asking this? I guess there's something wrong with me.
Love. That's the thing that infected me. I know, it's hard to believe. A stoic, fearless and emotionless Hyuuga is in love?! Hard to believe, yes. But not impossible. At first I was scared but when I started to believe in love, I guess it all sank in and made me feel more comfortable.
I guess you're wondering who the fortunate girl is. She's no other than Tenten.
Tenten. She is the girl that I love. I can think of a thousand adjectives to describe how much I love her. She's cheerful and patient. She never looses her resolve when things go against her. She is the one who taught me to look at the good side of bad events.
The tragic thing about my situation is that she has no clue on how I feel about her. I know it's my fault on being mean and cold but what can I do?! I'll be humiliated if I go to her house and serenade her. She might even grimace! And besides I'm not like those hormone freak guys. Well you get it. It's not entirely my fault. And who knows? She might not like me back.
So after walking for quite sometime, I reached the training grounds. Tenten happily welcomed me.
"Good Morning Neji!" She said smiling.
"Good Morning Tenten." I replied as I transformed into the mysterious Hyuuga Neji once again.
We waited for quite sometime and decided to start without Gai-sensei and Lee.
We made 5 laps around the forest and stopped when they arrived.
"Hello my youthful students!" Gai-sensei said as he and Lee performed their dynamic entry.
I rolled my eyes. 'Why' I asked myself. 'Why did I end up in an insane stupid team?! It's a good thing Tenten is still human!'
"Gai-sensei." Lee suddenly said. "I think Neji wants us to leave because he wants to be alone with Tenten."
"What?!" I said in unison with Tenten.
"Hmm…" Gai-sensei said rubbing his chin. "You're a genius Lee!"
"Gai-sensei!" Lee said
"Lee!" Gai-sensei said
The sun looks like it's setting early and the forest suddenly became the sea shore as the two spandex wearing freaks shed tears of joy because of their pathetic accomplishment.
"Lee our two youthful friends are love birds!" Gai-sensei said.
"Yes sensei!" Lee sheepishly said.
"We are not love birds!" Tenten replied as she directly punched Lee in the face. "Don't like Neji!"
I was shocked with what she said. I was hit. And I was hurt. I just don't know what to do. I'm so confused. So confused that I had no choice but run. Run where ever my feet took me.
"Neji? Neji where are you?" Tenten said as she noticed my absence.
"Tenten, the only secret that I kept from you is how much I love you." I said to her. "But it doesn't matter anymore." I added as I ran even faster this time.
"Neji wait!" Tenten shouted as she tried her best to catch up with me but I was going way too fast for her. "Neji! I'm sorry. What I said a while ago isn't true! I really love you! I thought you're going to reject me but deep inside I really love you!"
I stopped. My mouth was agate. I looked back and soon started to go back. I saw her crying and I hugged her.
"I'm sorry if I have hurt you in a way." She whispered.
"Hush…" I said comforting her. "It's not you're fault. And it's nothing anyway."
"Really?" she asked.
"Of course." I said smiling at her.
"I love you Neji." Tenten said to me as she started to be happy and cheerful again.
"I love you too, Tenten" I replied.
I kissed her as I enjoyed the moment with her.
