Forever Dreaming of What Might Be
Darkness embraced my life the moment you left me
Yet no matter how hard I tried I could not get you out of my reverie
You loved me before - a love that I thought was strong
But your actions greatly proved me wrong.
Shattered dream fragments of mine floated eerily
As if saying, "I cannot go on. I'm tired and I'm weary."
I could not blame you for what you had done
Though from the very start, you should have left me and be gone.
I had dreamed of the mountains we should climb
Dreamed of the islands where the treasure we would find
I had dreamed of the future for the both of us
But in a single flash, everything was ruined by naught but a lass.
I was trapped in an inescapable abyss
Excruciating sadness was indeed a terrible disease
Though the sun would never shine its rays on me
I would be forever dreaming of what might be.
Author's Note: So how is it? This poem was inspired by a YamixYuugi fic. Actually the title of the fic itself inspired me to do this but the poem has nothing to do with the content of the fic. So, tell me what you think? :)
