Chapter 6: Date part 1
(Temari)
I slipped on the dress that caught my eye and I stepped out from Sakura Shoji screen. "Whoa your beautiful Temari," Sakura said. I didn't know what to say I haven't heard that before. Even though it was from a girl it was the best feeling I had.
"Now that we have found you something to wear lets start on your hair." "Uhm aren't I suppose to be helping you get ready," I asked. "Well yeah, but I want to make sure you are presentable just in case." "Just in case for what?" I asked. "Well even though this isn't exactly a real date for you and Shikamaru, wouldn't you like to at least catch his eye?"
I stayed silent, but I was Sakura finally shunned some light on something I never saw even though it was right in front of me. She was right, I really did want Shikamarus acknowledgement. If I could get a little bit of a smile from him I would be happy. "All right Sakura your turn to get ready," I smiled.
(Shikamaru)
"How about that you actually clean up pretty nice Shikamaru." "Naruto I'm lazy not blind," I said. "Yeah well I just want you to look nice." "Isn't this your date?" I asked. "Yeah, but I think my wing man should at least play the part. I mean I know you think girls are troublesome, but their isn't any you have a fancy for eh?"
I remained silent though I had a lot on my mind. He was right all girls were troublesome to me, but not Temari. She wasn't annoying and she was so independent. I don't know what it was, but I found the independence sexy. She wasn't a girl who hung herself around a guy. Maybe I didn't mind dressing nice if it was for her. I found myself wanting to get a reaction from her.
"You ready to pick up the ladies Shikamaru?" Naruto walked out of his room and he was wearing black slacks and an orange jacket and his hair was actually combed. "Wow you clean up nice Naruto. Sakura should be impressed.
We were on our way to Sakuras house. Naruto knocked at the door and out came Sakura in a dark pink dress and her hair was pinned to the side. "You look nice Sakura Naruto said and gave her a hug. Sakura smiled back at him. Something seemed odd about the two. Sakura never made that much contact with Naruto.
Next walked about Temari. Her hair was pinned up and her bangs fell on the left side of her face. She wore a black and purple dress that accented her curves. The dress was also low cut enough to show her chest. Her eyes glistened from the sunset. I couldn't take my eyes off of her.

Once I walked outside I couldn't take my eyes off of Shikamaru. He was wearing a black pin stripe vest with a white short sleeve dress shirt under. He also had on black slacks to match. He was truly handsome. Our eyes met eye and I could see him slightly blushing. Then he finally opened his mouth "You look b-beautiful Temari"
I couldn't believe what I just heard. Forget about when Sakura told me it, I had the best feeling when I heard it from Shikamaru. As if I wasn't blushing enough he surprised me even more. He held out his hand, smiled and said "Comon lets get a move on this date."
