6. Six.
It was Gary's least favorite number.
Through all the numbers bouncing and jumbled in his head, six was his
least favorite. 6.
It bothered him. It annoyed him. He wished he didn't see it burned on
the back of his eyelids every time he closed his eyes. He hated the
number six. The number 6 is what he hated.
"Six days," he whispered. "6 days."
It was out of place. It didn't belong. It was only to support the
entire system from crashing.
He could relate.
He was out of place. He didn't belong. He was only to support the
entire system from crashing.
He was given six days. 6 days until the system crashed.
He didn't protest and he didn't argue. He didn't plead for more and he
didn't plead for less. Six days. 6 days was the final answer.
"Final answer," he repeated, gulping down the lump in his throat.
It smiled at him. It cocked its head and grinned. It would be six
days, it confirmed. 6 days was all it needed.
Until then, it would wait.
Gary would wait.
He would wait for death in his sleep with six burned into his skull. 6
burned into his skull for eternity.
"Six days," he mumbled again. "6 days."
A/N: For my lovely Danger-Sempai. ^^
I'm sorry it's so short, but it's the first thing I came up with. I can make it up to you however you'd like.
But yeah I hope you liked it at least a little.
