"She's Yayoi's pet," Ritsuka told him absently, as he stared intently at the tarantula. Kio just twitched.
"She's harmless, and besides, she's behind glass," Ritsuka went on, still watching the spider, now climbing over a rock. Kio twitched again.
"I'm minding her for the week, because Yuiko is scared of any spider bigger than her thumbnail and Yayoi is out of town," Kio twitched a third time, made an excuse, and hurried out of the room. Ritsuka rolled his eyes. "Well, I think she's beautiful. Don't you, Soubi?"
Soubi looked up from his canvas and smiled. "Yes, Ritsuka. She's lovely."
