Wow…I haven't been posting a story in so long… T.T Well, I'm back now! With a fic that is written for a challenge over at Dudly-senpai's POT Stands for Pointless But Original Talking! Forum! The royal flush one xD

This story is kind of like a prequel thingy or something to um, A Difference. You know, the story that was posted on April 20th. XD The pairing is probably already obvious… xDD

TEZUKATEZUKATEZUKATEZUKA

He knew it. He knew it was coming. He knew that the day he boarded the wooden vessel headed for the cold north, his fate was sealed.

But why did he do it…? He loves his family, but why make them suffer from his death?

Was it because he wanted fame?

No way.

Was it because he wanted the money and gold that he will be granted?

Forget about that.

Tezuka knew that his family would be sad… and he knew it all too well. Especially his daughter. He knew that Fuji would do her best to be strong in front of Mitsuko… to set a good example… and probably fall apart.

"Kunimitsu, are you sure that you want to do this?" Fuji asked.

"Yes," Tezuka replied.

Fuji shut up. There was no stopping him.

"I understand…" she said. "…Go for it."

However, deep inside, she knew that something tragic would happen. She just didn't realize the strength of the blow…

Tezuka never intended for his family to be sad. But fishing was his passion. He could recall the first day he stepped aboard the ship, when he was just sixteen years old. The captain, Yamato, was kind to him, and no matter how much mistakes Tezuka made, Yamato never gave up on him.

Then, along with the years, Tezuka grew as a fisherman, and his rank grew along with him… and was eventually promoted to the Captain rank.

And just like that, they were given their biggest challenge yet: fishing for crabs in the Arctic Ocean.

And Tezuka took the challenge…

…because fishing was his passion, and there is nothing anyone could do to change it.
