REVIEW!
Pence can't help but feel like something is missing. He checks his bag, and his pockets. He checks to make sure he is fully clothed and not forgetting anything important. When he sees that he's not, the feeling stays. He can't help but notice how there's always an extra chair next to him at school, and how his pictures always look empty on the right hand side, just next to Hayner. He wonders if the others feel the same way, but doesn't know how to ask, so he doesn't say a word and continues on as usual.
Olette can't help but notice something isn't right. She can't help but feel like when she talks about her three-no, her two friends, she feels like she is forgetting someone. But it has always been the three of them…hasn't it? She can't help but notice the extra money she has left after treating the boys to some sea salt ice cream. She can't shake the feeling that when they would fight about homework, it was always two on two, which is why it almost never got done. She wants to ask the others, but she's worried they'll think she's just being an ordinary girl, so she keeps quiet and pretends like everything is perfect.
Hayner knows something isn't right. He doesn't know much, but he knows this for sure. He can't help but remember a time when there was someone to practice Struggle with. He had someone to goof off with in homeroom. He remembers having someone to blame when he got into trouble. He realizes the feelings he now has are true when Olette accuses him of taking her homework and he starts to blame someone else. A name forms on his tongue, but dies after the first sound.
"Have you guys realized we're missing someone here?" Hayner asks, waiting for the looks of confusion.
But Olette and Pence look at each other and nod.
"I remember there being someone else." Olette says, turning back to Hayner.
"Me too," Pence adds.
They fall into silence that continues until they head home.
"Roxas," they all will whisper in their sleep, in different homes in different locations in Twilight Town. It will be the last time the name is spoken from their lips.
