Ghastly and Skullduggery waited inside for Tanith and Valkyrie to show up. They both had some important news to tell them, they waited and waited until there was a knock on the door
They both rushed over to open the door but someone had already open it. Ghastly moved slightly and soon realized something rushing up the stairs, holding what seemed to be young women it soon registered that it was tanith. He rushed after her trying to save the love of his life but the agonizing screams of her being pulled into a different dimension was to intense for Ghastly to stand and could not help but stop and cover his ears until the pain had gone, he ran after her but Tanith was gone. Suddenly he heard footsteps and Ghastly quickly spun round to find Skullduggery running up the stairs hand in hand with Valkyrie. They stopped half way up when they realized that tanith was not there. Valkyrie looked at Ghastly with worry and sadness.
Skullduggery walked down the stairs head slightly faced down. Valkyrie watched him in sadness, she did not now what had happened Ghastly would not turn away from facing the wall were Tanith had been not even ten minutes before screaming for her life. She focused on the reaction of Skullduggery after he had found out Tanith was gone, was he in love with her or Tanith, she could not figure it out the reaction was going over and over in her head and she could not help but looked back at Ghastly who was slowly getting up with soft tears running through his deep birth born scars.

Ghastly's POV
I raced Skullduggery to the door but i got there first opened the door and no one, then suddenly there was the scream, i looked left and saw the love of my life being pulled up the stairs. It was like everything was in slow motion, the screams were getting louder and louder by the minute by time i had reached half way up the stairs the screams were to intense for me and i had to stop and cover my ears before my brain exploded. There was another knock at the door and i could here Skullduggery rush to open it. Tanith shouted my name as she saw me rushing u the stairs, we tried to grab each others hand but failed. There in the middle of Skullduggery's house was a portal to a different dimension her kidnapper stood just in front of it and laughed the most devilish laugh you could ever imagine. I was almost with her when i heard loud footsteps and turned around to see Skullduggery with Valkyrie hand in hand. I turned around but it was to late she was gone, the love of life the reason for my existence vanished from the reach of my hand, and i never tried to save her no she was gone. I sat there hoping the portal would open but it never did. Skullduggery stood at the top of the stairs with his head down while Valkyrie walked over saw the tears rushing down my scars and stepped back she had realized that it was Tanith i was after and that she was gone.
