A dark figure stood in the forest, a mystical air surrounding him, but also a savage aura. His red cloak billows in the wind as his golden fist clenches.

I can't escape this hell
So many times I've tried
But I'm still caged inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
I can't control myself

Her radiant white smile flashes gracefully as she speeds through the woods, fading into the background, unnoticed by the untrained eye. He spots her elegant figure, dodging through the shadows. His blood red eyes watch her, intrigued by her easy going nature. So different, from his broken, and dangerous one.

So what if you can see the darkest side of me?
No one will ever change this animal I have become
Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal

He lunged towards her and shadowed her. A cold breeze whipped around them, she began to hug closer towards the trees. This was a game they played. She was his bait. It was dark and he was dangerous. She was the bait to show that he wasn't as evil as he believed. He wouldn't hurt something or someone he loved.

I can't escape myself
So many times I've lied
But there's still rage inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
I can't control myself

Both of their pasts haunt them. Neither is proud, yet together they fight the darkness in one another. Escaping danger, escaping a burning building, is easier than escaping themselves. Their worlds are just a web of lies, yet his is filled with rage, hers sadness. They pull together through nightmares, to control each other.

So what if you can see the darkest side of me?
No one will ever change this animal I have become
Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal I have become
Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal

Pain scorches through her as she slices her arm on thorns, a trail of her shimmering blood he follows. Hungry for the meal at the end, ready to devour what's left. Yet a heart still beats within him that proves to be a problem. It defies his instincts. It protects her.

Somebody help me through this nightmare
I can't control myself
Somebody wake me from this nightmare
I can't escape this hell

She dances through the woods, a shinning light reflects of a tiny orb, a small piece of materia. A piece of hope, but she still feels his presence gaining on her. It's almost over bearing. Yet her heart yearns for his icy touch, his sharp teeth that graze her skin slightly, the strength of his grip, before she runs again.

So what if you can see the darkest side of me?
No one will ever change this animal I have become
Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal I have become
Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal

She feels him there. He feels her. In seconds he's caught her. His hands gripping her waist, pulling her towards him. His eyes filled with untamable hunger, yet he savours her, the sweet taste of her lips as is ice cold mouth covers hers. Maybe he isn't the animal he once thought.
