A/N: Well, this is my first addition to the wonderful world of Furuba! I've had this in my notebook a while...

Dedicated to my friends Meggers (aka chibi-chan) and Lawliet(a). Because I was with them on a train when I wrote this, months and months ago. Neither of them have accounts on FFnet, the lame peoples...

Chibi-chan, Hunti Lawliet, if you're reding this, I miss youuuuuuuu!

Disclaimer: I don't own Furuba.

"You can love without fully understanding." - A River Runs Through It.

"You"

Machi never understood why Yuki chose (Is that the right word?) to love her. Or rather, why he loved her. Eventually, she asked him, and recieved a small, simple answer: "Because you're you." She wasn't satisfied with that answer- what was so special about her? Well, she'd get it out of him another time.

"Can"

Can? What was can? A choice, an action? A possibility? Not a necessity, not a choice. A possibility, then. A maybe. Machi liked maybes- they were unsure, an element of surprise in life. Maybes change things, take away the order and rules.
Yes, Machi loved maybes.

"Love"

Love? Machi wasn't so sure what it was. Was it loud proposals and flamboyant dances, the way books and movies portrayed it? Machi wasn't so sure. What she and Yuki had was quieter than that. (On the outside at least- it was quite loud within their hearts.)
But it was no less strong because of its quiet.

"Without"

Yuki had said, once, that one of the first things he noticed about Machi was the auspicious lack of 'Prince Yuki Club' mannerisms. It had been strange at first, but then it was rather nice. He'd found it quite refreshing- no screaming, squealing or fits of happiness. Machi was different. Just quiet smiles, winter nights and footprints in the snow.

"Fully"

Glass half empty, glass half full. Machi viewed it as... well, neither. Or at least she used to. It had been simply there. It wasn't half empty or half full, it was only a glass with something in it. But when Yuki came to stand next to it, it was most assuredly half full.

"Understanding"

She understood.

It had come to her, at last.

Only for her to find that...

She always had.

You likey? You no likey?

I hope you liked it! Please, review!!

(Oh, and if you want, imagine the glass as a half-full pitcher of bug juice. Long story. If you get that reference, I love you.)
